Elk Hunts
|
In Montana our Elk hunting takes place in the Beaverhead Mountains within the Continental Divide and the border of Idaho. This Montana Elk hunt is truly a wilderness hunt with base camp being reached by horseback. This picturesque countryside is home to a large resident Elk herd. We strive to keep our hunting camps to a maximum of 4 hunters at a time to ensure each client receives the attention they deserve to have a quality hunt in every aspect. Our hunting camp is set up at 6500 feet and we hunt up to 8500 feet. Our Elk hunts are conducted on horseback and by foot. During the first week of the rifle season we offer combo hunts for Elk and Mule Deer. A hunter can expect Elk in the 270 to 320 inch average with some Elk in the 340 inch range. Deadline to apply for the draw is March 15th. |
