Helpful Hunt Tips
-
BE PHYSICALLY PREPARED: The better physical condition you are in the
better your hunting experience will be.
-
Montana weather can be diverse to say the least, Summers are
generally dry and comfortable, with occasional thunderstorms,
daytime temperatures in the mid-high 80’s, and cool nights. Fall
ranges from pleasant days to below zero, with occasional
snowfalls. Montana winters can be severe, sub-zero
temperatures, typical conditions are near or below freezing, but
above zero, with plentiful snowfall.
Dressing in layers (including long
underwear) is the best way to combat the cold.
-
Be sure your boots are broke in prior to beginning your
hunt.
-
Mole Skin is a great item to keep in your First-Aid-Kit
to help keep sore feet from stopping your hunt.
-
ARCHERY
HUNTERS: Be practiced up on shots from many different
shooting positions and angles, from 20-50 yards for the best
chance at bagging your priced trophy.
-
RIFLE
HUNTERS: Be practiced up at shooting from different
positions and yards (200-400yds) for the best chance at
bagging your trophy animal. Also, be familiar with your
bullets and bring extra.
