Ibex Hunts

Persian Ibex were introduced into the Florida Mountains of southern New Mexico in the early seventies. They are free ranging, pure-bred Ibex. In New Mexico the Ibex are called “Persian Ibex”. In their native habitat they are known as “Bezoar Ibex”. The New Mexico Ibex hunt requires a lot of physical ability due to the extremely rough and jagged terrain of the Florida Mountains.

Our New Mexico Persian Ibex Hunts

We offer these hunts with both muzzleloader and rifle.

New Mexico Persian Ibex trophy quality can be very good in this area with averages in the 40 inch marks and some reaching the 48 inch and above (which is an exceptional trophy). Last year a 62 inch Ibex was taken from the Florida Mountain range.

Accommodations will include motel stay with all meals provided. All Ibex hunts will be 6 days.

2012 New Mexico Ibex hunt cost: $4000

plus 5.75% sales tax

New Mexico Ibex Rifle hunting:

November 24^th – December 10^th (Any 6 days of your choice)

New Mexico Ibex Bow hunting:

January 1^st – 31^st (Any 6 days of your choice)

New Mexico Ibex Muzzleloader hunting:

February 9^th- 17^th (any 6 days of your choice)

All hunts require 50% deposit to reserve spot. Deposits are non refundable, balance due on arrival. We accept money order, certified checks or if you prefer credit card we will require a 3% service charge.
